Thought the mania over the catchy little earworm “Gangnam Style” was a thing of the past? Think again.
The video for the smash hit by South Korean singer Psy set a YouTube record on Friday, becoming the first video to reach 2 billion views, YouTube announced on its Twitter account.

Hitting YouTube records is not a new phenomenon for the video, which was uploaded in July 2012. Back in late 2012, when “Gangnam Style” fever was in full effect, the video became the first YouTube video to hit 1 billion views, after beating Justin Bieber's “Baby” video to become the most-viewed YouTube video on record. (As of this writing, “Baby” has accumulated a relatively meager 1,041,196,712 views.)
Psy marked the milestone with humility, writing on his own Twitter account, “Very honorable and burdensome numbers. With the appreciation, I'll come back soon with more joyful one!”
