Shailene Woodley, American actress, is not shy about sharing her affection for an alternative lifestyle. “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” starlet revealed that she spent time as a child testing her survival skills in the wild. But besides for knowing how to make shelter out of some sticks and leaves, the 23-year-old revealed that she aims to live an eco-friendly life.

Woodley said, “My biggest fear is that people aren’t going to realize in time that we are nature, and that we need to think about that fact and respect that fact. People talk about global warming, the oceans, and the rainforest, and we need to be talking about it, but nothing’s going to change unless we change ourselves.” Woodley believes change begins with us, and that if human beings don’t work on their own mental, emotional and physical well-beings, then the future of the planet is uncertain.

She also admitted to not owning a cell phone, calling it a “crutch” and divulging that she is not a “big technology person”. She said, “I’m talking to people more than I’ve ever talked to in my life because I no longer have that crutch. The more you get away from all the technological buzz, the more freedom you have.” Woodley is wise beyond her years and is one young Hollywood star walking the eco-friendly talk.

No investigation needed. It's true, Matthew McConaughey will not return for Season Two of "True Detective."

"No, no, we won't be back for season two," he told reporters backstage at the Academy Awards Sunday night. "Season one was finite."

Fresh off his Best Actor Oscars win, the "Dallas Buyers Club" star, whose character in the HBO series is investigator Rustin Cohle, joked about the dark and dreary detective drama airing during the end of the awards show.

"I think there's an episode probably airing right now," he said. "Has anyone seen it? I made the thing, read the script, knew it upside and down. I'm  not sure what happens in tonight's episode."

HBO has yet to make an official announcement about the highly successful show's second season or whether co-star Woody Harrelson, who plays detective Martin Hart, will return. The show's premiere attracted 2.3 million viewers, the network's biggest debut since 2010, according to E! News.

However, the show's creator, Nic Pizzolatto, previously hinted at a "True Detective" return in 2015, which could include an ever-changing cast and storyline similar to "American Horror Story."

"There could be a season that's much more of a widespread conspiracy thriller, a season that's a small town murder mystery, a season where nobody is murdered and it's a master criminal versus a rogue detective or something," he explained during a recent Television Critics Association press tour.

"Even the title, 'True Detective,' is meant to be, of course, purposefully somewhat generic," he continued. "The word 'true' can also mean honorable and authentic and things like that. So as long as there is some crime in there, I think the series format can approach it."

Despite McConaughey's departure, the film actor anticipated his return to cable television after years on the big screen.

"It's a different time in television," he said in a previous interview. "All I knew is I read the first two episodes and I was in. And I was just, at the time, looking for quality."
